Sunwarrior’s CLEAR Protein Refresh is light, hydrating, and completely refreshing. This entirely soluble formula is meant to be taken with water in a ready-to-drink formula after you mix it. The light raspberry flavor is not chalky or gritty, that will leave you feeling hydrated.
When we say simple, we mean it. With only five ingredients: Barley rice protein, organic flavors, citric acid, organic beetroot powder, organic steviol glycosides, and organic monk fruit extract, you can count on a clean boost of protein and energy!
Upcycled means sustainability. The brewing industry discards spent barley grains, which can be used in other industries and repurposed as a protein supplement, like what we do here at Sunwarrior. Upcycled barley is one of the most sustainable proteins on the planet. It grows with less water, prevents food waste, and doesn’t require shipping to another facility, conserving time and energy to make our protein powder just for you. This means a reduced carbon footprint and less impact on the environment, so you can feel confident that you're not only satisfying your thirst and getting a protein boost but also helping our planet.
Barley rice protein distinguishes itself as a plant-based protein by its clear and refreshing nature. It provides a lighter alternative to traditional protein supplements without sacrificing nutritional benefits, making it good for your exercise routine and easy on the stomach.
Just so we’re clear, let’s talk about what clear means in this particular instance. Sunwarrior’s CLEAR Protein isn’t called clear because of its color; our protein drink mix is clear in reference to its texture. For those who don’t necessarily love the creamy or thick milkshake texture of traditional whey protein, CLEAR Protein is made from much finer powder, resulting in a light, refreshing liquid. The delicious flavoring will shade the color as CLEAR Protein Refresh delivers a healthy, thirst-satisfying punch of 10g of protein. Using upcycled barley is a conscious departure from the creamy texture of traditional whey protein shakes.

"This is my favorite clear protein powder. I use it everyday in my large water cup. I’ve been having trouble getting it from my local grocery store so I started ordering directly from Sunwarrior. Unfortunately, now they are out of stock too! I don’t know what I’ll do without it 🙁!"
"I do think this is a FANTASTIC product. Love the convenience of the clear protein that has more of a juice feel. The other flavors are pretty good but the Peach Mango flavor has a very artificial taste to it with a bad after taste. Fix the flavor and this is incredible. I still highly recommend you try the other flavors and maybe even try the peach mango flavor for yourself."
"The flavor is good and I like the protein content. Not 5 stars because it doesn't mix easily. Tends to foam and be clumpy. It mixes well stirred with warm water and then add cold water and ice."
"While not as high in protein content as the creamier mixes, these are really nice to have as an option for a little extra boost of protein. I find that they are easy to drink once the foam settles down. I'll often mix it up in a blender bottle and then stick it in the refrigerator for a bit while I'm getting ready and by the time i come back, it's settled and cool. I've found it nice as a base for adding to fruit smoothies as well when i might not want something like vanilla or chocolate flavored."
"This has a different no milky/farty taste compared to normal protein. If you get the ratios correct the raspberry almost tastes like one of those liquid water enhancers. Some flavors also pair well with the flavored creatine well! I do wish the protein content was higher, but I can deal with double scooping. I definitely recommend if you are getting tired of typical protein flavor."
"Taste is pretty neutral, not horrible by any stretch. I usually mix mine with ice and a high-carb mix in a standard water bottle and it dissolves pretty well, no chunks with just shaking it. No GI issues at all. Will certainly purchase again."
"Tastes great. Then knocked it out Pineapple Coconut is the bomb! We use it as a refresher. Always hits the spot."
"its like a sweet treat, 50 calories and 10 g protein so it isnt going to be a huge impact."
"I enjoyed this product immensely only thing is he proteins powder is a bit too too thick"
"I love this brand and that the fact that the barley is recycled. I just don't like this flavor as much as the pineapple coconut. I am about to try a different flavor ,but as for watermelon in this capacity, it's not my favorite, but I still like the crisp protein water ."
